Springfield

U.S. Springfield Model 1873 Trapdoor, .45-70 cal. single shot military rifle.  Serial #193983, mfg. 1882.  Very good condition.  33” barrel has excellent bore, correct sights, good original finish with some fine surface corrosion.   Breech block has nice case colors.  Lock plate has nice eagle markings and “U.S. Springfield script”.  Crisp “SWP” cartouche.  Wood is very good with nice original finish, very few handling marks.  Hairline crack on left side by breech.  Action works excellent.  Incudes original bayonet.
